Advanced Practice Palliative Immersion Training

Where Learning Leaves the Classroom and Changes Practice

THE APPI WILL NOT BE OFFERED IN FALL 2020
AN EXCELLENT ALTERNATIVE IS PROFESSION DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNICATION AND SUPPORTIVE CARE

Due to COVID-19 the Fall 2020 APPI training program is not being offered. In its place, we recommend the Professional Development in Communication and Supportive Care program and the optional specialty extension. The optional extension is open to advanced practice providers and physicians. It includes content for palliative care specialists such as skills for effective consults, billing and documentation, and palliative management of patients with cardiac disease, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer and neuropsychiatric symptoms. Lectures are presented by expert faculty and include time for Q & A. This evidence-based course is designed for all learner levels. Our intimate, training cohorts foster networking and peer and faculty support and interaction.
