Dirk Labuschagne, MDiv, MPH, BCC

Dirk Labuschagne is a chaplain researcher with Supportive Oncology at Rush University Medical Center, in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from South Africa, Dirk is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a board-certified chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC). His chaplaincy experience has predominantly been in palliative care, where he has collaboratively researched spiritual assessment tailored for the interdisciplinary team context. He has presented nationally with multidisciplinary partners at both chaplaincy and palliative-focused conferences on supportive oncology, end-of-life care, and spiritual assessment
