Judith Wood Mintz, MSW, LCSW is the Director of Support Services for Unity Hospice of Chicagoland. She has presented at national and state-wide conferences and guest-lectured at the School of Social Work: Loyola University Chicago. Judith has a key leadership role in a fast-growing urban hospice. She is a clinical supervisor and sought-after speaker and trainer in her organization and in the community. Her specific area of expertise is in the provision of quality end-of-life and palliative care to an underserved, inner-city population. She is a powerful advocate for her patients and for the field staff, utilizing the media and the political process to call attention to the unmet social justice needs of the community she serves. As an advocate for the importance of self-care, she makes time for cooking, reading and international travel.
