Dr. Levine is Professor of Medicine and Section Chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the University of Chicago. She is an experienced mentor of physicians and allied health professionals and a national leader in geriatrics and palliative medicine with extensive experience in creation and dissemination of competency-based educational programs. Dr. Levine finds joy in assisting others with professional development in order to work at the top of their licenses and generate deep satisfaction in patient care. Her clinical work focuses on improving care for vulnerable older adults and patients with complex comorbid illnesses. She is a senior mentor for the University of Chicago Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program which focuses on developing community-based primary care clinicians in geriatrics and palliative medicine, and builds a supportive network for older adults in the community. Dr. Levine is a member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
